Where does an 800-pound moose go? Anywhere she wants to, it seems, and Saturday she wanted to wander around Boulder.
A meandering moose explored nearly every part of town June 2, beginning her tour of the town on the east side and moving gradually across town. Along the way she did what many vacationers do; she stopped for snacks. Munching on some branches, she washed her treats down with some water from lawn sprinklers.
Homes where she reportedly stopped to visit included the residence of Tim Schmidt, the home of Judi Saarinen, the home of Betty Jenkins, and the home of Lee Swanson. It was at the Swanson home where she appeared to feel most welcome, bedding down on the cool green grass next to a lawn sprinkler.
Also like many house guests, the moose finally overstayed her welcome. She could, after all, eat one out of house and home in a hurry. She was eventually encouraged to leave and was last seen headed west into the sunset.
